You have everything. So why does something still feel missing?

Nothing outside will fill it. ĀtmaYoga is a path that turns attention inward.

What is ĀtmaYoga

Not a workout, a method

Ātman, the Self. Yoga, the path to reach it.

That feeling of something missing has a simple cause. You have built everything except a working relationship with your own mind. Most people never sit down to study it, so it runs unexamined, and no achievement quiets it. The work here is that study: watching the mind and its modifications, understanding them, and slowly bringing them to rest. Patañjali called this yoga. We practise it the way the tradition designed it, precisely, patiently, one person at a time.

Philosophy first

Every session stands on the source texts, Patañjali and the Upaniṣads, used precisely and never as decoration.

One person at a time

No group classes, no templates. The practice is built around your body, your psychology, your life.

Beyond posture

Asana is the doorway. Breath, meditation, and self-inquiry are the room it opens into.

The teacher

Atul Verma

I didn't find yoga. I grew up inside it.

Born in India, meditation and mantra were part of my life from the age of five. At twenty, that pull inward became a commitment: a six-month intensive training that changed how I understood the mind, the nervous system, and what drives behaviour from the inside out. I stopped seeing yoga as movement. I began seeing it as a precision instrument.

I am still a student. Every year I return to India to sit with my own teacher, and everything I teach here passes through that continuing study first. A teacher who stops learning is only repeating himself.

Today I work with executives, founders, and high-performers. People who function well externally and are beginning to sense that real stability is built from the inside. My teaching draws on Patañjali's Yoga Sūtras, the Upaniṣads, and Kashmir Shaivism. Not as decoration, as exact tools for self-understanding.

People leave my sessions calmer, yes. But mostly they leave clearer about what their mind is doing and what to do about it.

Traditional Asana

Sthira sukham. Steadiness with ease.

A 60-minute tailored practice built around your body, your goals, and your nervous system. Every posture adjusted to your structure; every movement synchronized with breath.

Decades on the mat

Each session carries 26 years of study and teaching, a deep understanding of body and mind refined through thousands of hours of practice.

Anatomical alignment

Every posture is adjusted to your unique body structure. Proper alignment prevents injury and builds strength that lasts.

Preparing the mind for stillness

The physical practice is a gateway to meditation. Through mindful movement, the mental chatter quiets and the mind readies for deeper states of awareness.

Breath-synchronized movement

Each movement flows with the breath, a moving meditation that calms the nervous system and deepens the practice's effect.

Deep Release · Passive Stretching

You do nothing. That is the point.

A 60-minute recovery session in which I guide your body through therapeutic stretches to release deep-seated tension. No effort is required from you.

The power of external force

Using gravity and carefully positioned props, your muscles relax completely while receiving a deep stretch, reaching tissue layers that active stretching cannot.

Fascia & connective tissue

Prolonged holds target the fascia, the web of tissue that surrounds every muscle. Releasing its restrictions improves mobility and reduces chronic pain.

Nervous system recalibration

Passive stretching activates the parasympathetic system, moving you from fight-or-flight to rest-and-digest. Cortisol drops; recovery begins.

The 30-second rule

Muscles need at least 30 seconds to release protective tension. We hold poses for 2–5 minutes, allowing profound relaxation and recovery.

Lecture-style workshop

Yoga beyond the mat

Have we mistaken yoga for movement?

Yoga arrived in the modern world as postures. It began as something far larger. A philosophy, a culture, and a method of self-understanding. This workshop traces yoga's history and thought: from the Vedas and Upaniṣads, through Patañjali's Yoga Sūtras, to what the practice has become today.

Lecture-based, but not passive. There is room for reflection, discussion, and community. No prior study needed.

Karma Bhakti Jñāna Rāja Hatha

What you'll take away

  • The historical arc, from the Vedas and Upaniṣads to the classical texts and modern global practice.
  • The five classical paths of yoga and how they interrelate in Indic thought.
  • Sāṅkhya, Vedānta, and Tantra, the systems beneath the paths, and how they map mind, body, and consciousness.
  • How this depth changes your own practice, whatever it currently looks like.

Who it's for

  • You sense yoga is more than postures.
  • You want its history and cultural context, not a summary.
  • You practice or teach, and want the meaning behind the method.

Common questions

I'm a beginner and not flexible. Can I do this?

Yes. Flexibility is a result of practice, not a requirement for it. Every session is built around the body you bring, and beginners often progress faster because nothing needs unlearning.

Where do sessions happen?

At your home, a studio, or outdoors in Dubai. You choose the setting. I bring the practice.

How does pricing work?

Packages are discussed in the first conversation, once I understand what you need and how often we would work. The conversation itself costs nothing.

Is this religious?

No. The practice draws on Indian philosophy, which is a method of inquiry, not a creed. You are asked to test everything in your own experience, never to believe anything on my word.
